Our first time visiting here. The food was amazing The cafe is nice and cosy. They have a large outdoor seating area also. I have a breakfast quesadilla, my partner, the spanish stack, both very nice and reasonably priced for what get! We will definitely be back

Great experience here. We were able to get a table last minute for brunch, so we were very lucky. Food was delish - but the art they did on it?...how beautiful! Almost makes you not want to eat it, lol. Definitely would come back when in the area.

Just out the 1 in renfrew, there was 4 of us and 2 young kids & the staff couldn't have done any more for us. Made to feel extremely welcome & the food was incredible, we all finished everything! Will 100% be back based on the service alone

I have eaten here twice in the past 2 days and it has been fantastic! The staff are friendly, happy and helpful and the food is beyond delicious. I had the Veggie French Toast and the Eggs Benedict with bacon. Both meals were beautifully presented and very, very tasty!

This is one of the first places I visited in Shawlands, and I haven't stopped going there for brunch. Whenever a friend wants to meet up, I make sure to bring them to Shawlands just so we can have brunch at Hugs and Mugs.Their Eggs Benedic, Eggs Mexicana, tomato soup with sourdough, and their pancakes are all amazing. My favorite choice is the Eggs Mexicana because it perfectly combines the texture of the poached eggs with the spiciness of the sausage and the sriracha sauce on the side. The bread they use to accompany the eggs is crunchy and soft, buttery. The food feels so fresh and savory. The quality of the coffee is quite good. I personally like my capuccinos having more body, but theirs is so good you won't want to ruin it by adding sugar. The texture and flavor of the coffee has been consistent every time I've been there. As for juices, I wish there would be organic or natural choices since I don't personally like juices from concentrate, but if you're not nitpicky about this, you'll have a an amazing time alone, with loved ones or with friends. The staff is incredible attentive and kind. I also enjoy the music selection and the entire ambience, both inside and outside, when the weather allows it.

I have been here before, let me just say this before if there is one thing to take away from my experience, it's this: Hugs and Mugs Renfrew, have stepped up their game in customer care. So much so, I felt compelled to write this review. On reflection, there were three main areas that made for an outstanding lunchtime visit.Firstly, your food and dessert has been good from my previous visits, however your ability to assist the customer in their preferences and dietary concerns has been elevated.Secondly, your cakes and traybakes? Have now become my go to following your beautiful offerings of rhubarb and cherry sponge (sorry Coffee Jam). And finally, the last time I arrived, despite your beautiful cafés presentation, the atmosphere was quiet combined with the cold service from staff... Well, it taken me a while to try again. However, I am thankful that I did. Your staff member Josh, made this week's end after a truly touch work week a wonderful, worth while experience. Friendly and thoughtful from the re-introduction to your café, I knew this was going to be a better experience. Josh was considerate to my questions on the choices and what he would recommend (the rhubarb and cherry as expressed above), patient with taking my order but efficient in his delivery. At no point from finishing my food and coffee did I feel pushed or rushed, Josh made me feel valued even when settling up and saying our goodbyes on my way to the rest of my day. To you the reader, this is a set-up you cannot miss, but don't take my word for it. Try for yourself. To you the café, bravo! I will be back as a regular, until then. Thank you.

Been here twice in the past couple of months and really enjoyed both times!Visit 1The first time we went I got the Milanese Stack and my boyfriend got a simple roll and sausage. Although they didn’t have any rolls left so gave him it in a fancy baguette type thing which I thought was quite funny.I couldn’t decide between a smoothie and a Spanish latte so of course I got both. This was my first time trying a Spanish latte (espresso with condensed milk) and it was DELICIOUS.Visit 2This time I went for the spicy chicken panini which was really tasty and my boyfriend got the Scottish breakfast. Of course I had to try some of his as well and I can confirm it was lovely! There’s still lots more things on the menu that we want to try so we will definitely be back!I knew about Hugs and Mugs for ages but never went in and now I wish I had sooner! So if you’re like me then I would definitely recommend paying them a visit. They have your classic brunch dishes but also some different and quite unusual ones too.
